Club Welfare

Meet Laura

Laura Hallett is our Club Welfare Officer. She sits on the committee, knows our coaches, and is the person to talk to if something doesn’t feel right.

Laura helps the club understand its duty of care to children and young people, and makes sure volunteers know what’s expected of them.

Contact Laura

• Email: welfare@mnyfc.club
• Phone: 07584 433 791

Confirm Laura Hallett is still Welfare Officer and that phone/email remain current before go-live.

Any committee member can also listen if you have a concern.

How we keep people safe

• All coaches hold a valid DBS check
• Coaches complete FA emergency aid and the FA Safeguarding Children workshop
• Checks and training are refreshed in line with FA guidance

If you’re worried about a child’s welfare at the club, contact Laura. Don’t wait.

Photography

We sometimes take photos or video at training and matches to celebrate the team or promote the club.

• We ask permission from parents/carers first
• Children are never identified by full name in public posts
• See our Photography Guidance (updated August 2024) for the full detail

Policies

These sit behind how we run the club (ask your coach or Laura if you can’t find a document):

• MNYFC Equality Policy — August 2024
• MNYFC Anti-Bullying Policy — August 2024
• MNYFC Safeguarding Policy — updated August 2024
• Photography Guidance — updated August 2024

Policy PDFs are not in the repo or brand folders yet — titles listed as text only until files are uploaded and linked.

Registration forms also include welfare-related questions — read them carefully.

Outside the club

If you need to go beyond the club, Dorset FA safeguarding contacts include:

Confirm Dorset FA contacts (and Matt Lucas) still current before go-live.

We’re a family club. Looking after each other is part of how we play.
