About the Hawks

We’re a grassroots club in the heart of Dorset and Somerset country. We exist to get kids on the pitch, keep them there, and make sure the game stays fun.

Training, matches, the Hawks Hub, and a lot of tea in plastic cups happen here.

What we’re about

We’re competitively priced against larger town clubs that are often full and turning children away. If a child wants to play, we want them in a Hawks shirt.

We’re a 1 Star accredited club. Coaches are DBS checked and FA Level 1 qualified. In 2022/23 we were named Grassroots Club of the Year — credit to the players, coaches, and families who make Saturdays work.

More than match day

Bingo nights. The Hawks Tournament. Santa Dash. Trips to watch the pros. The club is a community hub as much as a fixture list.

Our teams

We run mixed and girls’ age groups across the junior pathway (exact 2026/27 list is with the committee for sign-off — see the roster note). Teams train weekly and compete in Dorset and Somerset affiliated leagues.

Committee: please confirm the club’s foundation year so we can replace the old “[Foundation Year]” placeholder. No year invented here.
